Learning the Guitar

Learning to play  acoustic and/or electric guitar can be rewarding. Learning guitar at any age although taking commimnet and discipline will bring great rewards for years. An 80 year old I spoke to still manages to jam with friends and even goes to old people’s homes to entertasin!
It is one of the few musical instruments that allow you to play a variety of genres of music..

You can learn and play rock music, country music or jazz music. It is easy to carry not like other musical instruments and does not take up a lot of space.
Once you have mastered the basics of beginner guitar lessons, the intermediate lessons will become more enjoyable  You will be trying to explore greater techniques with the guitar
Playing in  front of others can be enjoyable. Don;t try it until you are ready! If you can perform  it will help to eliminate the fear of playing and keep you playing all the time.
If you do not know how to read musical notes , learning the guitar  is made easier because of a learning system called tablature.

You can certainly learn to play on-line, however try to find a reputable guitar teacher in your area or a good online easy guitar lesson course.
Both ways will have you playing the guitar in no time but with the invention of the internet, a lot of new musicians are looking towards the Internet for musical lessons.
However, from my experience I have found most of my students start learning online and then give up and come to me for lessons.  Guitar lessons DVD are also readily available and can be another option that lets you learn at your own pace, without any stress!

The basic modules you should see in any of the guitar learning courses must involve the very basics. This should include  finger position for the various notes and chords, how to strum the guitar . If you practice you will by the end of the beginner guitar course  be able to at least play a simple song confidently. Enjoy and keep at it!
